Manual Osteopathy

Manual osteopaths have the ability to assess an individual, recognize problematic areas of concerns and tailor a treatment plan for their patients' needs. Manual osteopaths utilize hands on movements of the body unlike any other profession. It's purpose is to eliminate pain and to re-establish the body's natural balance through simple method of therapeutic touch, joint mobilization and muscle energy techniques to name a few.

Assessment

Assessment starts by filling out forms detailing why you are seeking Manual Osteopathic treatment. During the appointment the Manual Osteopath will go through the form with you to ensure your concerns are identified. The Manual Osteopath will then begin to determine the degree of restriction and pain followed by formulating a care plan to start treatment.

Treatment

Manual Osteopathic treatment has many approaches depending on the client's concern. Manual Osteopathic treatment uses Joint mobilization (used to relieve pain and increase joint movement), Muscle Energy Technique (used to increase range of motion of muscles, helps recovery and activities of daily living) and Therapeutic touch (which helps relax tightened areas and eases stress). All techniques are used together to improve well being, mental health and daily activities.
